I use many of the strategies I talk about
I have owned real estate for about five years and have owned two properties. I have used house hacking for about six years and operated Airbnb and other short-term rentals for about five years.
That rental work has included more than a dozen listings and growing. For more than three years, I have operated this work through an LLC.
My Airbnb and short-term rental operations are independent from KW West Sound and are not services provided through my Washington real estate license.
My experience includes room-by-room rentals, whole-home rentals, co-hosting, rental arbitrage, property setup, property analysis, and general Airbnb and short-term rental consulting.
Traditional real estate remains the main focus of this page. The rental experience is useful because it gives me another practical lens when a buyer, seller, homeowner, or investor is thinking through a property.
Real estate is another system to understand
I started by solving technical problems hands-on. My military experience included component-level electronics troubleshooting, and I later worked as a Boeing technician. My career then evolved into software engineering and technology at Microsoft.
Real estate became another system I wanted to understand. That curiosity grew into property ownership, house hacking, rental operations, investing, and becoming a licensed real estate professional.
